  • Document Your Suspicions: Write down any details or observations that led you to suspect a privacy incident. Note specific dates, times, and any unusual activities or behaviors you've noticed.
  • Notify the Responsible Authority: Contact the UF Privacy Office immediately. If you're unsure who to contact, reach out to the IT department, administrative office, or department leadership.
  • Preserve Evidence: If possible, preserve any evidence related to the suspected privacy incident. This might include screenshots, emails, or other documentation that could help in the investigation.
  • Limit Further Exposure: If the privacy incident involves digital systems, consider disconnecting affected devices from the network to prevent further unauthorized access or data loss.
